Americans be worthy of our dead, be worthy of their sacrifice. Avenge their murders, defend our country, attack our enemies, advance of our way of life. Let us shake off this weepy frailty and stand United as the Great Nation that we are. We should never forget, and we must never ignore this tragedy, but from these deaths we should draw inspiration, not depression. Americans have fallen before, a great many more than this. And the subsequent actions of our forefathers should set the precedence of our own emotions and actions. Let us be worthy of our dead and their sacrifice.
